[INTRODUCTION]

[INTRODUCTION]

This project redesigns all six U.S. currency denominations. Currency is one of the few designed objects every American interacts with daily, yet its visual language has changed little in decades. This series treats each bill as an opportunity to recognize a different kind of American legacy, one rooted in science and exploration rather than politics or war.

[MY APPROACH]

[MY APPROACH]

Each denomination honors an influential planetary scientist whose work expanded our understanding of the solar system. The visual language draws from retro-futurist aesthetics, giving it a look that feels archival and forward-thinking at the same time. I've always loved space, and with the amount of money the US puts into it I think our accomplishments in that field deserve more recognition. All required federal elements are retained across the series, integrated into the design rather than treated as afterthoughts.
